Ieri sera l’Etna è tornata a dare spettacolo, con una nuova colata lavica: boati, esplosioni e lancio di cenere e lapilli.
L’eruzione è avvenuta da due bocche aperte all’interno del cratere di Sud-Est dell’Etna. Alle 20.30 circa di ieri 24 febbraio, una colata è scesa in direzione Valle de Bove dopo l’inizio dell’attività vulcanica intorno alle ore 18:00. La fontana di lava hanno raggiunto circa 1500 metri di altezza. Secondo gli esperti si tratta di un record per l’Etna, ma allo stato attuale non vi sono pericoli per le persone e per le abitazioni.
L’Etna è sempre stato uno dei vulcani più attivi d’Europa, ma le esplosioni degli ultimi giorni sono fra le più forti da decenni a questa parte.
